Key West
is not a major golf destination but with the availability
of land, one can say the island has set aside a
fair proportion for its Rees Jones masterpiece.
One may have to travel a bit to get to the other
courses in the lower Keys, yet the ride may be
well worth the trip.

The Key West Golf Club is located at the entrance
to the island, this 18 hole championship course
was designed by Rees Jones and is set among 200
acres of key flora which contains a mix of stately
palms and dense mangroves. The fairways are rolling
and water comes into play on more than one occasion.
The infamous Mangrove hole is one players will

watch out for the bunkers on this nine hole course.
Their signature hole is the par 3 #8, where play
